BREAKING NEWS: A Liberian court has sentenced eight people convicted in the country’s largest human trafficking case to 50 years in prison. Three others, who pleaded guilty during the trial, were sentenced to 20 years in prison, with 10 years suspended.

Outside the court, victims gathered in a group to celebrate the ruling by Judge Roosevelt Willie of Criminal Court A.

The defense has announced an appeal to the Supreme Court.
