Liberia Anti-Trafficking and Scam Victim Support Initiatives Stands in Solidarity with Victims as Final Arguments Begin in Major Human Trafficking Case
Monrovia, Liberia – July 6, 2026 – The Liberia Anti-Trafficking and Scam Victim Support Initiatives (LATSVSI) joins victims, survivors, and all advocates for justice as final arguments commence today in what is considered the largest human trafficking case before Criminal Court “A” in Liberia.
To demonstrate unwavering solidarity with the victims and survivors, members of LATSVSI will gather this morning wearing the organization’s branded T-shirts. This symbolic act is intended to send a strong and unified message that human trafficking is a grave violation of human rights and a crime that must never be tolerated.
Today’s proceedings represent a significant moment in Liberia’s fight against human trafficking and the pursuit of justice for those who have suffered exploitation and abuse. LATSVSI remains committed to supporting victims, promoting public awareness, and advocating for stronger measures to prevent trafficking and protect vulnerable persons.
The organization calls on all stakeholders—including government institutions, civil society organizations, international partners, and the general public—to remain united in the fight against human trafficking. We also call on perpetrators to cease these criminal acts immediately and to respect the dignity, rights, and freedom of every individual.
Human trafficking destroys lives, undermines communities, and violates the fundamental rights of men, women, and children. Together, we must continue to strengthen our collective efforts to ensure accountability, protect victims, and build a Liberia where every person can live free from exploitation.
