Liberia Anti-Trafficking Initiative Strengthens Partnership with Intellectual Property Office
MONROVIA, Liberia – As part of its ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and scam-related crimes through a holistic and collaborative approach, The Liberia Anti-Trafficking and Scam Victims Support Initiative [LATVSI] on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Liberia Intellectual Property Office [LIPO].
The delegation met with the Assistant Director General of LIPO, Hon. Clarence Cole, to discuss the importance of institutional partnerships in raising public awareness about human trafficking and related criminal activities.
During the visit, the organization presented its branded anti-human trafficking T-shirts to Hon. Cole as a symbolic gesture of partnership and solidarity. The T-shirts carry key awareness messages aimed at educating the public and encouraging collective action against human trafficking.
Speaking during the engagement, representatives of LATVSI emphasized that addressing human trafficking and scam-related crimes requires a comprehensive, multi-sectoral approach involving government institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, and the general public.
The organization expressed appreciation to Hon. Clarence Cole and the Liberia Intellectual Property Office for their warm reception and willingness to support national awareness campaigns.
It reaffirmed its commitment to working with stakeholders across Liberia to promote prevention, protect victims, and strengthen advocacy against human trafficking and exploitation.
The visit forms part of the institution’s broader national awareness campaign aimed at fostering collaboration with key public institutions in the fight against human trafficking and scam-related activities.
