LATSVSI Calls on Victims and Families to Provide Evidence as Arrest of Alleged Liberian Traffickers in Nigeria Continues
Monrovia, Liberia | July 31, 2026 – The Liberia Anti-Trafficking and Scam Victims Support Initiative [LATSVSI] wishes to inform the public that the arrest of alleged Liberian human traffickers in the Federal Republic of Nigeria is ongoing.
The Institution is working closely with the Nigeria Immigration Service and Nigerian law enforcement authorities to ensure that all individuals implicated in these crimes are apprehended and deported to Liberia to face prosecution in accordance with the law.
In support of these efforts, LATSVSI is calling on all victims who have escaped from Nigeria and returned to Liberia to visit our office and submit any relevant evidence, documents, or other information related to their cases. This information will be added to their official case files and will serve as important evidence during the prosecution process.
The Institution also encourages affected individuals and families whose loved ones were victims of human trafficking or related scams to report their cases to our office and formally document the financial, emotional, and other losses they have suffered.
Comprehensive documentation from victims and their families is essential to strengthening ongoing investigations and supporting successful prosecutions.
The cooperation of victims, their families, and the public will play a critical role in expediting investigations and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable upon their return to Liberia.
The Liberia Anti-Trafficking and Scam Victims Support Initiative remains committed to working with national and international partners to combat human trafficking, protect victims, and ensure justice is served.
