From the Liberia Anti-Trafficking and Scam Victims Support Initiative [LATSVSI]

The leadership and staff of the Liberia Anti-Trafficking and Scam Victims Support Initiative [LATSVSI] extend our profound and sincere appreciation to the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism [MICAT] for granting us a national platform to address the nation on the growing threat of human trafficking and transnational scam operations.

We are especially grateful to:

Hon. Jerolinmek M. Piah, Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, and
Hon. Daniel Sando, Deputy Minister for Press and Public Affairs, MICAT

Thank you for your leadership, for opening the doors of the Ministry to civil society voices, and for demonstrating the Government’s commitment to fighting human trafficking in Liberia.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to all members, volunteers, and awareness champions of LATSVSI who turned out yesterday in their numbers and represented the institution with dignity, discipline, and passion during our press briefing at MICAT. Your commitment continues to give hope to victims and survivors.

We further extend our gratitude to all media institutions, both online and traditional, including OK FM, and all journalists and bloggers who carried our news, amplified our message, and helped us reach the Liberian people and the world.

This fight is not for LATSVSI alone. It is a national fight.

We therefore call on all Liberians, government institutions, partners, civil society, the media, parents, and youth to join us in this fight as we save the future of our young generation.

Human trafficking must end. Together, we can end it.
